Workshop Overview

Discover how sustainable materials are transforming the design world!

Join me in this hands-on workshop where I’ll share the biomaterial knowledge I’ve gained since graduating in 2024 and guide you in creating your own yarn samples made from seaweed! Whether you’re a designer, maker passionate about sustainability, curious about biomaterials, or exploring innovative applications in fashion and textile design, this is a unique opportunity to experiment, learn, and connect.

You’ll leave with your own handmade algae yarn samples and fresh ideas for how natural resources can inspire the future of design.

Workshop time :  1 hr 30 min

 What you need:

Required: container to transport your wet yarn samples home safely & clothes you don't mind getting messy.

Optional: crochet hook to embroider samples, your own natural dyes to test, notebook and pen.
